(±)-Sordaricin, the aglycon of antifungal sordarin, was synthesized starting from bicyclo[5.3.0]decan-3-one derivative. The strained bicyclo[2.2.1]heptene framework of sordaricin was constructed by the palladium-catalyzed intramolecular Tsuji–Trost reaction. |
