A case of relapsing polychondritis in a 68-year-old japanese female is reported. There was involvement of the ear, nasal and laryngeal cartilage. She noticed no eye, inner ear and joint symptomes. Elevated ESR, pathologic electrophoresis of serum and 3+ of CRP was recorded. Biopsy of the ear showed chondritis and perichondritis. She was treated with corticosteroid for 4 weeks, and it was effective. She is in good health, but saddle-nose deformity, atrophy of external ears and hoarsness is remained.
