    This paper presents a novel fingerprint classifier fusion algorithm using Dempster-Shafer theory concomitant with update rule. The proposed algorithm accurately matches fingerprint evidences and also efficiently adapts to dynamically evolving database size without compromising accuracy or speed. We experimentally validate our approach using three fingerprint recognition algorithms based on minutiae, ridges, and image pattern features. The performance of our proposed algorithm is compared with these individual fingerprint algorithms and commonly used fusion algorithms. In all cases, the proposed Dempster Shafer theory with update rule outperforms existing algorithms even with partial fingerprint image. We also show that as the database size increases, the proposed algorithm is designed to operate on only the augmented data instead of the entire database, thereby reducing the training time without compromising the verification accuracy.

    In this paper, we present a simple and efficient scheme on channel allocation in downlink distributed wireless communication system(DWCS).The analysis and results show that based on this method DWCS significantly outperforms conventional cellular systems in channel capacity. It overcomes the drawback of the cellular system's lower performance of cell boundary users and the channel capacity is increased with higher antennas density.

    Optical buffers are key components in optical packet switching network systems that prevent packet collision along the same virtual path and wait for header processing time. Conventional fiber loops for optical buffers present the drawback of unexpected oscillation at gain peak wavelength of the fiber loop. In this paper, an optical tunable delay line using a fiber ring with an acousto-optic frequency shifter and an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) are demonstrated experimentally. The frequency shifter plays the role of preventing unexpected oscillation. Clear eye heights are visible in data packets through the delay line.

An optical tunable delay line using a fiber ring with an AO frequency shifter and an erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) presents the benefit of stable operation without unexpected oscillation. Using numerical simulation, this study clarifies the delay line's power distribution and SNR degradation. The longest delay time of 200 times the packet length can be achieved for a 10Gbit/s data packet.
