This mini-review highlights recent development of stannyl amine protocol (SnAP) reagents for synthesis of saturated N-heterocycles from aldehydes and ketones. Imine formation from SnAP reagents and carbonyl compounds and subsequent copper-promoted radical cyclization can afford 6, 7, 8, and 9-membered saturated N-heterocycles with a broad scope and easy operation.
