The purpose of this report is to clarify the characters of urban space from a possessive form and an architectural function in Ginza with materials entitled "Kantodaishinsai-itenhosyo-oyobi-itenkeikakuzu," made from 1926 to 1929. The shops and offices in Ginza had the two characters. One was for local people and the other was for visitors. Distribution of an architectural function had a specific tendency. Many shops and offices of personal possession in Ginza front on the narrow roads, but of corporate possession besides Ginzafront on the wide roads. In each possessive form, rate of an architectural function had a specific tendency.
