The authors' answers to the discussion by Dr. Ono and Dr. Yokoyama are as follows. 1), 2) The hardness sensation of floor finishing that human expects to feel is decided by variation of touch sensations. At the present time, it is necessary to categorize the floor finishing into some types, because these variations can't show on numerical expressions. 3) The basis of evaluation in this research is floor of residence. Based on investigation of different rooms and inhabitant behavior, it is obvious that these are variable in numerical expressions. With this study, we have developed a new method of evaluation and many other physical index.
