Abstract

This study focuses on Brossard & Mopin, a French company that constructed many reinforced concrete buildings in Asia in the early 20th century, in order to understand the spread of construction technology by construction companies operating against the background of industrialization and the rise of imperial capitalism. Through the survey of archives and organized the documents to understand and analyze the company’s activity base and the projects, it became clear that Brossard & Mopin’s activities in Asia became more active during the interwar period in conjunction with French rule.
