G.Th. Rietveld’s steel structure designs were analyzed on following 3 aspects.
1. This analysis was done with the Rietveld Schröder Archive drawings managed by Utrecht Centraal Museum and Rietveld, Van Dillen & Van Tricht Archief drawings managed by Het Nieuwe Instituut.
2. One house and five public buildings were analyzed, and the transition of Rietveld’s steel structures design was shown.
3. The advanced technological aspect of Rietveld’s steel structure design is can be attributed to its mixture structure and unification of dimensions.
