Abstract

In this paper, evacuation behavior characteristics of residents living in the Okada area of Mabicho, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture were compared between generations (parenting generation and middle-aged / older generation), which was severely damaged during the heavy rain event of July 2018. As a result, parenting generation and middle-aged / elderly people tended to differ in evacuation means, companions at the time of evacuation, and evacuation decision-making. It was clarified that the evacuation start time affects the selection of the evacuation destination and the evacuation means influences the evacuation start time.
