This study aims to clarify the relationship between the land-use conversion tendency of factories and the location characteristics of factories. This analysis covered factories located in the suburbs of Kanagawa Prefecture and logistic regression analysis was used as the analytical method. The findings are as follows:
First, land use zonings were found to be effective against the land use conversion of factory. Second, the tendency was related to its location with urban facilities such as stations and interchanges. Third, average land prices and the number of households in the area surrounding the factories were also found to influence the tendency.
