Abstract

To restore easily collapsed street networks caused by major earthquakes in urban space, in this research, we put forward a feasible approach to setting an emergency evacuation passages in the case of street blockage among collapsed buildings. More importantly, this approach takes into consideration various evacuation behaviors of all groups including vulnerable people such as the elderly. In addition, evacuation simulations are also conducted to prove the efficiency of the approach and to improve the disaster prevention performance of concerned regions.
