Abstract

This study analyzed the energy efficiency and specifications of commercial buildings newly constructed or renovated in the year 2018. Clustering of the sample data showed that 40% of the sample had relatively high performance across all specifications, with the remaining buildings having low performance in certain specifications. In addition, depending on the building usage, 22.5% to 60% of the buildings do not meet the building codes of the Building Energy Conservation Code, which has been updated in 2024. Based on the results, we discussed how design specifications would change as a result of this code revision.
