It's important to research the past earthquake damage and to make clear its spatial distribution as a basic information to consider the regional disaster prevention problems. In this study, damage distribution of Akita Senboku Earthquake in 1914 was gathered by surveying reconnaissance report and newspaper articles at that time. The region where houses were damaged spreads to 30 km away from the epicenter. Heavy damage of houses are found on the lowland along the Omonogawa river and the central part of Yokote basin. Also, landslide distribution is mainly found in the mountain of the west side of epicenter.
