Abstract
After the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, a variety of investigation reports related to post-tsunami recovery process are released in the affected countries. Although it is significant to review the recovery policies and planning conducted in the damaged areas, such a comparative study is seldom to be seen in the previous reports. This paper draws a comparison of monetary support and supplies for the victims conducted by the governments in the most damaged three countries, Indonesia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. It also presents the differences of framework of recovery planning and organization in the countries.
