Consideration for environmental load using blast furnace slag in concrete, we conducted various experiments. As results, even if a large amount of blast furnace slag, satisfy the required performance of the fresh concrete and structures by conventional mix design. The required durability performance is ensured by wet curing for a period set from the average temperature during the curing period and the expression of compressive strength. Compared to concrete using ordinary Portland cement, carbon dioxide emissions at the same strength are reduced by 9 to 63%. This study is expected to increase the spread of environment-friendly concrete.
