Abstract
According to KOPPEN’s climatic classification, Nara and Kyoto are belonging to Cfa and in Japanese climatic classification they are belonging to Setouchi climate ( less precipitation).But they have very different climatic features in summer as drought in Nara basin and high temperature and humid in Kyoto basin. In this study, the author analyzed climatological water balance by showing hyther-graph and Thornthwaite’s method. As results, comparing Nara and Kyoto, summer rain fall is slightly different and water surplus in Kyoto is more than Nara.
