Map/Geographic Information System and Regional Geography Learning

Abstract

This presentation will be held as the S1 Open Symposium at the 2022 Fall Annual Meeting of the Geographical Society of Japan. The presenter will discuss the use of ICT in the classroom and geographical studies, with a focus on elementary teacher training. We would like to discuss the results and issues of the trial implementation of online classes at Corona Vortex and the use of Geographical Survey Institute maps (Tabe 2021), the practice in delivery classes at school sites (Tabe et al. 2022a), and the practice of map programming learning in collaboration with companies (Tabe et al. 2022b).
