The authors have developed a method to determine chlorinated pinenes (CPIs) by using prepared standard which resembles very much to the residues found in fishes. This method was empployed to analyze fish sample where CPIs could occur considerably. The detection limit was 0.1ng/g (S/N>3) and the recoveries was more than 90% (SD=7%) at spiked level above 100ng. This method is useful to study the fate and behavior of chlorinated monoterpene in the environment in relation to the pulp mill effluents.
