PROFILE CHANGES OF THE OXYGEN K X-RAY FLUORESCENCE SPECTRA OF COPPER COMPOUNDS INCLUDING HIGH Tc SUPERCONDUCTORS

Abstract

Profile changes of 0K x-ray fluorescence spectra of various copper compounds are measured. Theoretical spectra are obtained by molecular orbital calculations on linear O-Cu and Cu-O-Cu model clusters. The theoretical spectra reproduce the experimental ones very well when the contribution to the x-ray transition of σ- and π-orbitals is taken into account.
