Several redox proteins and nucleotides involved in photosynthetic electron transfer were separated by capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) with a noncoated fused silica capillary column. We found that reduced and oxidized forms of plastocyanin, cytochrome c, NAD and NADP could be separated by CZE. Two types of ferredoxin, commonly present among higher plants, were also clearly separated by this technique.
