A laboratory automation system for safety evaluation tests of new industrial chemicals has been developed. This system consists of three subsystems. The analytical system has been assigned for data acquisition and transaction in analytical apparatus. The monitoring system has managed the biological test condition. The host computer system has fulfilled the database management and the preparation of reports. Additionally, taking account of GLP principles, the present system has functioned. This system has enabled to improve the operational efficiency and the reliability of test results.
