A preconcentration technique involving membrane filtration was applied to FIA of trace hydrogen peroxide in environmental water. A titanium(IV) complex with hydrogen peroxide and PAPS, to form an ion pair with CTAB, was adsorbed and concentrated on a very small area of a membrane filter, which was placed in the flow cell of FIA instrument. Hydrogen peroxide was determined directly in the solid phase by absorption spectrometry of the titanium(IV) complex with hydrogen peroxide and PAPS.
