Abstract

XMA plane analysis on an anodic oxide film of an Al-Mn alloy plate indicates that the parts of high density manganese(area percentage 15.8%)are dispersed lake islands. SEM observation on an anodic oxide film(the electrolytic potential 500V)of an Al-Mn alloy shows that the some parts of high density manganese are dropped out from the anodic oxide film during anodization. ESCA depth profile indicates that manganese content in the anodic oxide film is less than the bulk content(1.10wt% of Mn).
