A method for the determination of europium(Eu), terbium (Tb), and dysprosium(Dy) in biological materials by fluorometry has been developed. Organs from experimental animals were digested by a simple wet ashing procedure, and then the fluorescence intensity of each element was measured after forming a complex with 2, 6-pyridine-dicarboxilic acid. The detection limits were; 1ng/ml in Eu and Tb, and 5ng/ml in Dy, respectively. Simultaneous determination of three elements was also performed.
