Crystal structure of β-Chloro-L-alanine

Abstract

The title compound β-chloro-L-alanine (1), was crystallized as zwitterion C₃H₆O₂Cl, following the cleavage of dipeptide H-Met-His-OH byAuCl₄^- in hydrochloric acid.
