Crystal Structure of Silver(I) Complex [Ag(Phca₂en)(PPh₃)₂]ClO₄, Phca₂en = N,N′-Bis(β-phenylcinnamaldehyde)ethylenediimine

The title compound, [Ag(Phca₂en)(PPh₃)₂]ClO₄, where Phca₂en is N,N′-bis(β-phenylcinnamaldehyde)ethylenediimine, crystallizes in space group P2₁/n, with a = 21.2044(7), b = 10.5089(3), c = 28.1172(9)Å, β = 109.205(1)°, V = 5916.8(3)ų, Z = 4, T = 292 K, D_calc = 1.386 mg m^-3. The coordination polyhedron about the Ag(I) atom is a distorted AgN₂P₂ tetrahedron and the Phca₂en acts as an N,N′-bidentate ligand.
