Compared with the prior six years of studying English, English education that universities could offer to false beginners is clearly limited. Within that limitation, therefore, both teachers and students should manage to undertake motivational and effective English learning in order to avoid a cynical mood; it is too late to do anything. The problem of false beginners is not only that they do not only acquire sufficient English abilities but also that they are not motivated in English learning. Movies have been suggested as motivational learning English materials, however, the use of movies in remedial education and a preparation for external examinations has not been fully explored. In this report, the author explains the study session designed for false beginners by using movies to prepare participants for the TOEIC Bridge test. Participants choose movies of their liking and the instructor creates learning materials based on the chosen movies. Since it is crucial to have a specific objective in remedial education, the goal of the session is set to obtain a high score in the TOEIC Bridge Test, which they will take at the end of the first year as an achievement test.
