This paper is a proposition that the internet bulletin board system can be a helpful and effective support system for vocabulary homework assignments when Japanese students are practicing listening comprehension through movies in the classroom and they have little additional time for vocabulary building. Using the internet bulletin board, students completed homework which assigned them to develop quizzes about a screenplay. After they developed their own quizzes, a survey assesses 118 students' attitudes toward (1) the homework itself, and (2) the use of the internet to complete the assignment. In analysis of their responses, it was found that more than eighty percent of the students felt affirmative about this kind of assignment, thinking it refreshing, encouraging, etc. Further, vocabulary building activities that can be assigned between and among classes will be outlined in this paper.
