Examination of speech discrimination of monosyllables and sentenses at speech-to-noise ratios between +5dB and +20dB under the multi talker bable was perpormed in patients with moderate sensorineural hearing loss. As the result, these patients required greater degree of speech-to-noise ratio (+15 to +20dB) than normal subjects. It was supposed that various factors, life experience, pattern recognition, intrest and conjecture are affected to understand the speech.
