Among the early works of Botticelli there were considerable ones of which dates of production have been remained obscure. In lack of the fundamental documents, the research of their dates had seemed to be quite difficult. Recently, however, some historians of art have attempted to make them clear by the side of the affinity of the style. R. Salvini has much distributed in this field. In this treatise, following his theory, I have tried to clarify a chronology of the early works of Botticelli by observing chiefly the <<Adorazione dei Magi>> in the National Gallery of London.
