In quantitative infrared spectrophotometric analysis, distillation method should be used at the same time.In this report, discussions-are given of the optimum instrumental analytical conditions and the method for linearizing aromatic absorptivities.
The results are summarized as follows;
1.Accuracy of the quantitative determinations of toluene and C9 aromatics in Udex grade mixed xylenes is within±1.0%in error.
2.Accuracy of the quantitative determination of C6-8 aromatic hydrocarbons is within+1.0%in error.
