Abstract
Glyceria×tokitana, a new hybrid between Glyceria ischyroneura and G. leptolepis (Poaceae), collected from wet places in northern Kyushu, Japan, is described in this paper. Although this hybrid resembles G. leptolepis, it is distinguished from G. leptolepis in having tufted culms and always erect patent branches, and from G. ischyroneura in having rhizomes and distinctly tessellate leaf sheaths, and its pollen grains are irregular in shape and stainability. Its chromosome number is 2n=30.
