We report angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) of C_6Ca, graphite intercalation compound (GIC) with the highest superconducting transition temperature. We determined the band structure and Fermi surface, and succeeded in directly observing the superconducting gap and its symmetry for each Fermi surface. The present ARPES results have established that the interlayer electrons play an essential role in realizing the superconductivity of GICs.
