We experimentally investigate the convection dynamics using several different fluids and find that transient stagnant domain is formed during thermal convection in well-mixed two component fluids. In addition, we find that difference in viscosity between the two components is one of the most important factors for the formation of transient stagnant domain. We conclude that the dynamical asymmetry plays an important role in the thermal convection with two-component fluid mixture.
