The draft human genome sequences have been published in Feb., 2001. Although the sequences are the marked milestone of the internationally conducted human genome project, they still need to be finished by removing ambiguous parts and by filling remained gaps. The currently available human draft sequences also have a limitation in their usage and reliability because they still are in the draft status. Nonetheless, the human genome holds an extraordinary trove of information about human development, physiology, medicine and evolution.
