Abstract

Proteins are the biological devices, transporting/transmitting substances/information along the pathway constructed by the genomic information. These devices work by switching its biological function in the on/off manner, through the structural changes occurring as the response to the external stimulations. The mechanism realizing the biological functions must be implemented even in a single protein molecule. How can we describe such mechanism in the words of physics? Here, we will explain various pictures of protein dynamics.
