抄録
Cefoxitin was administered to 20 patients with complicated urinary tract infection (10 pyelonephritis and 10 cystitis) by intravenous drip infusion at a daily dose of 4-6g for 5 days.
Clinical results were obtained as follows: excellent in 9, good in 4 and poor in 4 cases, effective rate being 65 %. Bacteriological outcome was eradicated in 11, decreased in 4, persisted in 4 and colonized in 1 out of 20 strains isolated.
No side effects were observed in this series.
