Abstract

In this work, the structures and mechanical properties of CH4, SO2, and H2S hydrates were investigated in order to examine their stabilities under exploitation conditions. The theoretical results of CH4 hydrate were in good agreement with the experimental values and previous theoretical results. The properties of H2S hydrate is similar to those of the SO2 hydrate, and they show evident difference compared to methane hydrate.
