Abstract

The crystal of (DBTTF)[Ni(dmit)2] contains uniform, segregated stacks of cations and anions. A three dimensional network of closely spaced molecules leads to intermolecular overlap integrals of the HOMO and LUMO with small anisotropy. This compound is highly conductive and signs of overlap integrals along the two segregated stacks suggest that this compound is the first two-chain system with parallel band structure.
