Abstract

The superconducting critical temperature TC increased with increase in x in (La1−xSrx)2CuO4−δ associated with the shortening of the Cu–O bond in the basal plane and the elongation of the lattice along the c-axis in the K2NiF4. structure. The results are discussed in terms of two-dimensional itinerant band formation of Cu:dx2-y2–O:pσ bond.
