It was made clear that ubichromenol (35) (II) was one of the products of photochemical reaction of ubiquinone (35) (I). It was also found that I was converted to II in good yield with an aliphatic tertiary amine. Perhydroubichromanol (35)(III) and acetylubichromenol (35)(IV) were obtained as derivatives of II.
