TANGHENOSIDES I AND II FROM CHUAN-DANGSHEN, THE ROOT OF CODONOPSIS TANGSHEN OLIV.

Abstract

From the roots of (Codonopsis)___- (tangshen)___- (Chuan-dangshen) cultivated in Sichuan, China, two new phenylpropanoid gluocosides named tangshenosides I and II were isolated together with syringin. the structures of both compounds including the absolute configurations were elucidated by physical and chemical procedures.
