Abstract

The fundamental interest of this study is formation mechanism of the unequal urban land-use pattern. Although the stochastic urban model was proposed, and the transition of land-use was analyzed, the uniformity of land-use pattern was assumed. In this paper, we examine whether the state transition from the perturbed initial state converge to the uniform state or not. We show that, when the average land-use ratio is in the range in which second differential of the F-function under the assumption of the uniformity is negative, the uniform state is unstable, and the urban area is separated to high region and low region further than the average land use ratio.
