Abstract

In this study, we clarified the reality of livability on sloping land and evaluated the plan by analyzing the relationship with the location normalization plan. The data is mainly from the National Land Information System and e-Stat, and the current situation is analyzed using QGIS from the viewpoint of population coverage in the area where slopes overlap with the residential guidance area defined in the location normalization plan. Many towns on sloping land experienced a decrease in population, while many towns on non-sloping land experienced an increase in population. This shows that there is a relationship between the slope and the increase or decrease in population. Based on the results of the analysis of population coverage within walking distance, it is necessary to conduct a more cross sectional analysis and apply detailed measures, as there are cities where coverage varies greatly depending on the indicators of spatial analysis.
