In order to improve fuel efficiency, lighter automobiles are increasingly being called for. However, the demand for automobile safety sometimes results in an increas in automotive body weight. As a result, automobile weight reduction has become a key technology in the automobile industry today. This paper introduces the trends in automobile materials for weight reduction.
