Abstract
The on-line circulation control system which has been developed in the Fundamental Research Laboratories of Nippon Steel Corporation is introduced. The features of this system may be summarized in followings: 1) The character display connected with FACOM 230-38 provides on-line daily services: lending, returning, lication of a certain book (or periodical magazine), and correction of the input data. 2) Batch processing makes the following works available. a. dummy slips of the books circulated b. an overdue book notice c. personal list of books lent d. statistics of circulation. More labour saving, and quicker and accurate daily library services of circulation. More labour saving, and quicker and accurate daily library services are expected by the extention of this present computer system to purchasing works in the library.
