The Effect of Aureomycin on Growth of Animals

Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to investigate into relationship between nutrition of animals and antibiotics, and into the mechanism of the growth of animals under the effect of aureomycin. 4mg aureomycin, 0.003mg vitamin B₁₂ and 0.4mg vitamin B₆ were added to the basal diet of 100gr. The albino rats were fed on the diet above written for 4 weeks and 8 weeks. Investigation was made, after killing them, on the growth efficiency, protein efficiency, moisture, fat and protein content in carcass and liver was also estimated.
