Abstract
Resection of both carotid sinus and aortic nerves do not produce the persistent arterial hypertension. As one of these causes, Sakurasawa and Saito habe pointed out the presense of pressoreceptoric nerve fibers in vagal trunks ('41), Further I have studied this subject about welltrained unnarkotised 3 dogs and 2 cats, measuring arterial blood pressure, heartrates, and respiratory rates during 2 years, After Eb. Koch's denervation of both carotid sinus, I resected the left cervical vagosympathetic trunk, and severed all cardiac branches beneath the emergence of right recurrentnerve, except for right vagal trunk. But I could gain neither permanent hypertonia nor hypertensive tachycardia in Mannaberg's sense; the respi-ratory rates also returned to normal range within very short time
Moreover, I have observed the identical relationship in the manner of chemoreceptoric nerve, fibers (details in the sequel). At the last experiment, I have elucidated under the chloralose narcosis that both arterial pressure and cardiac rates reach to the adrenaline maximum by the resection of the remaining right vagal trunk. Autopsies were all examined and o regeneration was ascertained.
