Influence of ovarium preparation and thyroid gland preparation on intermediate of protein metabolism (by the KJO₃ methode)

Abstract

I studied the relation between ovarium and thyroid gland preparation to intermediary metabolism of protein in tissues and blood by the KJO₃ methode.
When I gave subcutaneously ovarium preparation (“Ovahornaon” 1000 units per Kilo gram body weight daily for a week) or thyroid gland preparation (“Thyradin” 1 cc per Kilo gram body weight for four days) and took the material in the early Morning of the next day, and then the intermediate of protein metabolism in blood, liver and adrenal increased in both cases and one of adrenal increased very much by the treatment of “Thyradin.”
