Some metamorphic rocks of the Okinawa islands

Abstract

The author had an opportunity to take a trip to the Okinawa Islands in summer of 1960, and collected many specimens of metamorphic rocks, on which the laboratory works were done at Kyushu University. It should be noticed that glaucophane schist was found from Isigakijima and biotite schist (schist containning biotite) was not collected from the Okinawa Islands.
